Instagram Rumored To Be Bringing Back Its Much-Loved Chronological Feed

When Instagram did away with its chronological feed last year, its users didn’t exactly welcome the move with open arms. In place of showing users the entries that were most recently uploaded, the social media platform initiated algorithm that surfaced posts based on what it thought users wanted to see.

While there has been no official announcement from Instagram on whether this chronological feature will return, some users have recently noticed a change in their respective feeds.

On 8 March, Instagram user @jackharding, in particular, posted a video to his Instagram Story, revealing that his feed had apparently reverted to chronological order.

He wrote, “Instagram back to chronological order. I wonder if this is good or bad news.” Several other users have also noticed similar changes and came to the conclusion that they could be part of an algorithm test rolled out by Instagram.

While a chronological feed is one of the main user gripes for this platform, only time will tell if Instagram will welcome its return to the app.
